Bio
Andrea is a children's book author and freelance journalist with a background in radio news and an Honours degree in Linguistics. She has been writing professionally since 1999 when she was commissioned by Working Partners Limited in London to write titles in the popular Animal Ark series under the name Lucy Daniels.
In 2011, Desert Prisoner, her first book under her own name, was published by Tafelberg.
As a journalist, she writes on a wide range of subjects but predominantly on travel and the environment. Her work features regularly in a number of South African magazines, most notably S.A. Country Life, Skyways, The Crest, and Food & Home Entertaining.
Between March and June 2015, she wrote three feature articles for the independent journalism network, Contributoria.
Andrea lives and works in Everton, to the west of Durban in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
